The BASS Team is recruiting for an SQF (Safe Quality Food) Practitioner for our manufacturing client. Have a passion for food safety and experience with Quality Control, great. If not, our client is willing to train those with the above mentioned attributes.
This position will start with a 4 day work week during the initial training period then work into a regular schedule. Keep in mind, our client can have some flexibility on the specifics of the schedule.

As the food safety professional, you will strategically manage, lead and coordinate continuous improvements to programs related to food safety, quality processes and systems, including defining performance measures.

Optimize safety and quality of products while ensuring compliance to GMP standards, SQF standards and other regulatory requirements
Act as liaison for plant on food safety and quality policies/issues as they relate to customers.
Coordinate troubleshooting of day to day food safety and quality opportunities to help teams define comprehensive, proactive solutions
Utilize technical expertise to educate members on food safety and quality opportunities.
Develop team leaders for future food safety and quality roles in the manufacturing process.
Review newly developed products for food safety issues and develop HACCP plans to manage food safety risks.
Coordinate microbiology tasks as they are required by customers.
Coordinate tasks as required by the R&D committee, and support tasks as needed from the R&D Coordinator/Product Development Manager.
Principle duties will be:

Maintain HACCP Program
Lead the facility to SQF certification and maintain registers/files
Ensure that all regulatory programs are implemented, documented, and properly executed and verified
Responsible for Food Safety Program and document control
Lead the execution of standard operation procedures (SOP's) and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP's) for manufacturing processes, freezer and raw materials warehouse, and ensure completion of all sanitation activities to ensure corporate compliance.
Requirements
What you bring:
-Five (5) years' experience in Quality Control, preferably in the food industry
-SQF training and/or training a plus; HACCP
-Good computer skills, high attention to detail
-Professionalism, dedication, and a willingness to learn
-A passion for Food Safety

Industrial Bakery Machine Operators in Old Town, ME 04468
Description
The BASS team is seeking top notch candidates for these two important positions for our client who has an industrial bakery operation. You do not need experience as our client will train yet you must have what it takes, see notes below.
Schedule flexibility: Both positions have a start time of 3 am yet the flexibility is for the length of the shift; 4 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours, or up to 12 hours, Monday thru Friday.

Why are these positions so important to the production of these delicious products?

1. Mixer position: The precise measurements of the ingredients when mixing is utmost in producing quality products. It includes: a high attention to detail, math knowledge to ensure measures are precise, ability to lift 50 lb bags of ingredients, and safely working the industrial mixer.

2. Filler/Baker (Hopper) position: Computer skills and a skillful eye is needed. Programing equipment to fill pans just right, send through ovens just right, ensure calibrations of equipment.

Description
Full-time, Contract to Hire opportunities available with our well-known and respected manufacturing client! Do you enjoy working with your hands in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, team environment? • Visually inspecting product for defects
• Manually transferring the product into packaging

Description
The BASS Team is seeking a motivated Production Associate to join our client's team. As a Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, assisting in fabricating materials and assembling those with electronic components to build their products in a collaborative environment. This is a Full-time, Direct-hire opportunity with a great schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm. Summer early-out on Fridays available and possible options for a 4-day work week.

Responsibilities:
-Fabricate and assemble parts to produce high-quality electronics products
-Perform assembly tasks, including soldering and use of hand tools
-Read and interpret data from measuring instruments, blue prints
-Learn various aspects of production operations
Requirements
Qualifications:
-Experience with hand tools and ability to read blueprints preferred, or willingness to learn
-Wants to learn! Quick learner with flexibility to cross-train and work in different production areas
-Troubleshooting skills and problem-solving ability
-Capability to lift and move materials within the facility (up to 30 to 50 lbs)
