Material Flow Operators in Brewer, ME
Description
Brewer, ME - Bangor Area Staffing is recruiting for an upcoming potential need for Material Flow Operators. This position will supply and move materials within the plant to keep our busy manufacturing client’s production operational.

Shifts: Monday – Friday, 3-11pm and 11pm-7am. Weekends off!!

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Collecting and supplying materials to appropriate areas
• Operating a forklift to assist loading or moving materials and products
• Cleaning and organizing material racks
• Assist in keeping work areas clean

Pay is $13.07/hr.
Requirements
Previous experience with tow motor/forklift desired, but not required.

Must be able to stand/walk for long periods/shift; regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; bend, reach, crouch; and meet vision requirements. Steel toed footwear required.

SQF Practitioner in Bangor, ME 04401
Description
Bangor Area Staffing is recruiting for an SQF (Safe Quality Food) Practitioner for our client. As the food safety professional, you will strategically manage, lead and coordinate continuous improvements to programs related to food safety, quality processes and systems, including defining performance measures.

Optimize safety and quality of products while ensuring compliance to GMP standards, SQF standards and other regulatory requirements
Act as liaison for plant on food safety and quality policies/issues as they relate to customers.
Coordinate troubleshooting of day to day food safety and quality opportunities to help teams define comprehensive, proactive solutions
Utilize technical expertise to educate members on food safety and quality opportunities.
Develop team leaders for future food safety and quality roles in the manufacturing process.
Review newly developed products for food safety issues and develop HACCP plans to manage food safety risks.
Coordinate microbiology tasks as they are required by customers.
Coordinate tasks as required by the R&D committee, and support tasks as needed from the R&D Coordinator/Product Development Manager.
Principle duties:

Maintain HACCP Program
Lead the facility to SQF certification and maintain registers/files
Ensure that all regulatory programs are implemented, documented, and properly executed and verified
Responsible for Food Safety Program and document control
Lead the execution of standard operation procedures (SOP's) and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP's) for manufacturing processes, freezer and raw materials warehouse, and ensure completion of all sanitation activities to ensure corporate compliance.
Requirements
Candidates must have a combination of 10 years in food safety field with education in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology or related field. HACCP certification. SQF and PCQI certified preferred. High attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with previous supervisory experience. Computer skills.

Warehouse Position in Brewer, ME
Description
Brewer, ME - Bangor Area Staffing is seeking candidates for their client, an area heating products distributor. The schedule for this full time, contract to hire position is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Some of the typical tasks will include picking, packing, and palletizing orders, forklift operation, light assembly and modifying or building pallets using power and pneumatic tools.
Requirements
The candidate for this position must be able to work well independently and possess both a clean driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, crouch, reach, and grasp.
Previous warehouse experience required. Forklift and heating products knowledge is preferred, yet not required.

Education:
High school or Equivalent
