Full-time, Contract to Hire! Previous optician experience is ideal, yet our client is willing to train the right candidate. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service assisting patients in choosing the best eyewear to meet their needs. Successful candidates will bring attention to detail, problem solving skills, and helpful personality.

Responsibilities include yet not limited to:
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear frames and lenses and accessories based on their prescription and lifestyle
- Take accurate measurements of patients' facial features to ensure proper fit and alignment of eyewear
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed, ensuring optimal comfort and functionality for patients; assist in lab equipment maintenance
- Enter orders, create invoices, review insurance information, maintain accurate records of patient information, prescriptions, and orders using electronic systems
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions related to eyewear selection or usage

$16/hr., Mon & Wed - 8-5, Tues & Thurs - 9-6, Fri - 8-3

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to educate and sell eyewear and additional eyewear product;
- Proficient computer skills - ability to learn various programs pertaining to
industry;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Achieve and maintain ABO certification (Optician's certification) within one year
of hire date.

Optometric Assistant in Augusta, ME
Description
Full-time, Contract to Hire opportunity! Monday through Thursday, 7:45 am to 4:45 pm, Friday, 7:45 am to 1:00 pm; 35 - 40 hours/week.

You will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, communication and education. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Position will entail:

Ensure patient schedule flows smoothly; begin patient exams on time and perform them in a timely manner; communicate with Dr's and other staff to ensure optimum efficiency
Keep exam rooms, pre-testing rooms and other patient areas neat and clean
Ensure instruments are in good working condition; perform maintenance and repairs as needed, or arrange for repairs as appropriate
Maintain appropriate medical supply levels in all exam rooms, ordering supplies as necessary
Back-up to Front Desk; take calls, set-up appt's, check-in patients
Intake thorough medical, social and family history
Other duties as assigned

Full-time, Contract to Hire position. Mon, Wed, Thurs - 8am to 5pm, Tues - 10am to 7pm, Fri - 8 to 3. Great opportunity to move away from a direct care position into a more administrative role. Position will entail:

Answering phones
Scheduling appointments; rescheduling as needed
Input charges and payments accurately
Confirm appointments
Check supplies
Verify insurance as needed
Retrieve authorizations online
