Human Resources Generalist in Waldo County
Description
Full-time, Contract to Hire; excellent CAREER opportunity! Position will grow and evolve into a HR Manager role. Will carry out responsibilities in the following areas:

Benefits Administration
Recruiting and On-boarding for temporary and non-exempt positions
Training and Employment Law compliance

Essential functions:
*Recruiting to include creating online ads; posting jobs; ad placement in online publications and forums; applicant monitoring and maintenance; answering questions about job openings
*Manage Workers Compensation program
*Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
*Perform benefit administration, including claims resolution, change reporting and communicating benefits information; maintain all employment and employee benefit records; reconcile monthly billing
*Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals; recommend new approaches, policies and procedures for improvement
*Conduct reference checks, and applicant background checks
*Conduct initial on-boarding of all new hires; distribute and collect new hire paperwork and provide applicable information to payroll
*Conduct exit interviews
*Respond to requests for information
*Provide accurate and timely data entry and tracking of employee information; create reports as needed
*Create employee status forms with changes, new hire information, W-4s, Benefits deductions and other needed info
*Other HR related tasks as assigned

Requirements
Bachelor's in HR Management or Business, with at least 3 years of job-related experience or similar combination of experience and education
Two good employment references
Mature work ethic
