Catering Manager in Unity, Maine 04988
Description
We are seeking experienced Catering Manager for our client in Unity for an immediate need. This position provides quality dining experiences by managing all aspects of catered meals and concessions for external and internal audiences at the facility.
Some duties to include:
-Assist with developing menus for events
-Place weekly orders, receives and verifies deliveries
-Trains staff
-Maintains catering records, including requests, proposals, invoicing, and staff and student schedules
-Prepare menu items as needed for specified catered meals, events, and concessions
Requirements
•Five (5) or more years of experience in food service, including supervisory responsibilities
•Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office products
•Cash management/reporting, inventory control accountability and POS systems
•Must be of legal age to sell/monitor sale of alcoholic beverages.
•Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
•Serve–safe Certification; or must be obtained within six months of hire.
•Have an understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.
•Excellent communication skills
•Associate’s degree and/or culinary training preferred
•Food service management experience in an institutional setting preferred.

This is a full-time interim opportunity that has the potential to become a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Excellent benefit package should go perm. Hours will be variable based on events and the pay is $15 an hour.
