Cathy A. DeMerchant
President and Co-Owner
Cathy has been in the staffing industry since 1996, and has attended numerous human resources conferences and trainings. She is
Chair-Elect of the Board of Directors of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and serves as Treasurer of the Kennebec Valley
Human Resource Association and also the Maine Staffing Association. She serves on the Central/Western Maine Workforce Investment
Board, and is also an Advisory Council Member for the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, representing Androscoggin,
Sagadahoc, and Kennebec Counties. She holds active memberships in the Society for Human Resource Management and the American
Staffing Association, and the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the Community Service and Vocational Services
Committees with the Augusta Rotary Club, was a Trustee of the Calumet Educational and Literary Foundation. She also served
on the Board of Directors of the Family Violence Project of Kennebec-Somerset County. She and her family live in Vassalboro.
Dawn True
Staffing Specialist
Dawn True, a Maine native, spent five years working with Cathy at another staffing firm before joining her at CASS in
October of 2005. Her most recent position before joining CASS, with a local computer skills training center, gave her
additional insights into the software requirements of area companies. Her understanding of those skills required has
made her an invaluable member of the team, and is very comforting to her Clients! Dawn and her family live in Chelsea.
Nettie M. Kilby
Branch Manager – Bangor Office
Nettie's human resource and staffing experience has come from a variety of opportunities. She previously spent twenty years
in Management in the Quick Service industry; three years as a Staffing Specialist in the staffing industry where she worked
with Cathy and Dawn; and five years as a Human Resource Manager with a home health care firm. Nettie is a past member of
the Kennebec Valley Human Resource Association and the Society for Human Resource Management. She understands that finding the
right employee is one of the keys to a business’ success, and looks forward to helping Bangor area companies fill their staffing
needs! Nettie and her husband live in Hermon.
