Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Supervisor in Old Town, Maine
Old Town, ME - Bangor Area Staffing Solutions is recruiting for our client a Plant Maintenance Supervisor. The right candidate will monitor, maintain, and supervise equipment and facility maintenance operations. Some of the duties will be ordering parts, scheduling of repairs and a preventive maintenance program.

Candidates must have maintenance and supervisory experience to be considered. Master or Journeyman Electrician preferred yet not required. A full job description will be provided after applying.

Pay will be based on level of experience.

Qualifications and Skills

~Have sound technical knowledge of all machines and equipment used in the facility. (Bakery a plus)

~Should have ability to identify problems with the electronic systems and carry out their maintenance.

~Basic knowledge of the heating, refrigeration, welding, plumbing, and other electrical (preferred licensed) and carpentry work.

~Computer knowledge

~Supervisory experience

~Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

~Organize, implement, and direct maintenance operations and activities.

~Perform the most complex maintenance duties.

~Communicate clearly and concisely, both oral and written.

Excellent work ethic and leadership experience.

Knowledge of both AC and DC power, three phase motors and wiring, AC and DC drives, PLC troubleshooting and/or programming experience, pneumatic troubleshooting experience, welding skills, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred yet combination of education, training and experience may be substituted.

Be part of a busy manufacturing business making some great products! Bangor Area Staffing is seeking Production Associates for a very busy manufacturing client.
Typical tasks will be packing of product, palletizing, and general assembly of products. Working in a safe manner and maintain a safe, clean working area at all times.

There are two shifts available. For night owls, 6 pm to 4 am. There are some openings left for 6 am to 4 pm. The client is willing to train candidates who have a great work ethic. These are full-time, Contract to Hire positions (go permanent with client after trial period).

There is room for advancement for associates with positive attitudes, be willing to learn new tasks demonstrate the ability to perform the tasks of the next level.

The ideal candidate is artistic, has done cake decorating either professionally or at home for friends, and has good penmanship. In this role, you act as part of a team to decorate cakes on a production line.

Pay is $11/hour and there are two shifts currently available (both Monday through Thursday with some Friday’s during busy seasons): 6pm to 4am and/or 6am to 4pm.

Production Line Supervisor in Old Town, ME
Old Town, ME – BASS is seeking a full-time, 2nd Shift Production Line Supervisor for a busy manufacturing client. Be part of a team with a tradition of making quality bakery products. This position oversees the production process, from start to finish, ensuring the highest level of efficiency, quality, safety, and teamwork. Maintaining a superior level of quality for all products being produced by following and promoting all Good Manufacturing Practices throughout the bakery, commitment to, and understanding of, the SQF (Safe Quality Food) Program and safe work policies and practices.
Duties to include:
• Supervise and direct the production line.
Verify that SQF monitoring and verification duties are completed
Maintain all safety standards
Order materials and packaging from the warehouse for each day's production
Verify case and item labels for description, etc.
Manage staffing levels for best productivity
Ensure completion of all daily shift paperwork, approve & submit daily
Verify the case count on the packing line report is correct
Oversee the training of all new associates

Hours: 4 pm to 2:30 am, Mon-Thursday with overtime during peak times of the year. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

• Three or more years of hands-on supervisory experience and direct manufacturing experience preferably in a consumer baked goods company.
• Strong technical skills and working knowledge of production line equipment.
• Excellent communication skills in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a challenging environment.
• Must have a basic understanding of the management skills needed to supervise others, including, but not limited to, organization, communication, delegation, coaching, and motivation.
• Must have good problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in related field but not required. A combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates competency may be considered.
